Before Returning an iPhone

To receive a refund for an iPhone you are returning to Twigby, you should follow these instructions.

First, obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) by chatting with a live Twigby Agent. Once you have the RA#, you must clear the phone. Without performing these actions, Twigby cannot gain access to the phone and therefore a refund will not be issued. To make certain this doesn’t happen, you need to remove your Apple ID, turn Find My iPhone off, remove face/touch ID and any passcodes and erase all content and settings.  Here are the steps in the order they need to be performed.

Before starting these steps, don’t forget to back up all content and settings to iCloud.

  1. Remove face/touch ID and/or passcode.
    1. Tap Settings.
    2. Tap Touch ID & Passcode or Face ID & Passcode.
    3. Enter your passcode if prompted.
    4. Scroll down the page and tap on Turn Passcode Off.
    5. Scroll back up the page and tap Reset Face ID or Reset Touch ID.
  1. Turn off Find My iPhone.
    1. Tap Settings.
    2. Tap on your name or Apple ID at the top of Settings.
    3. Tap on iCloud.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see Find My iPhone.
    5. Tap on Find My iPhone.
    6. Tap on the button to turn the feature off (button will change from green to gray).
  1. Remove Apple ID.
    1. Tap Settings.
    2. Tap your Apple ID.
    3. Tap iTunes & App Store.
    4. Tap your Apple ID.
    5. Tap View Apple ID (you might be asked to enter your password).
    6. Scroll to the iTunes in the Cloud section, then tap Remove This Device.
  1. Reset the phone.
    1. Tap Settings.
    2. Tap General.
    3. Tap Reset.
    4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings (if prompted for a password, go back to step two and turn Find My iPhone off before proceeding).

Finally, turn the phone off and prepare it for shipment back to Twigby. Please make sure you ship the phone back with the original box, charger and any other accessories that accompanied the phone. The phone box must be packed in another container and that container should have the Return Authorization Number (RA#) written on the outside box.
