Sometimes, apps use more data than you might think. Whether it be automatically loading photos, or refreshing in the background, there are many ways you might not realize your data is being used. To see which apps are using the most data, use the steps below. You can also use this information to determine which apps you should use less or which you should limit yourself to only using while connected to Wi-Fi.
For iPhone:
- Open your phone's "Settings"
- Select "Cellular"
- Scroll down to "CELLULAR DATA", you will see a list of your apps and how much data they use (since the last time your usage stats were reset)
- If you tap on "System Services" within the list of apps, you will see how much data is being used on Messaging Services, Notifications, Siri, Software Updates, etc
- Additionally, you can reset these statistics by scrolling all the way to the bottom and choosing "Reset Statistics"
For Android Phones:
Please note that the instructions below vary from phone to phone and the steps to do so are unique to your specific device. The steps we provide may not be specific to your device but will help give you an idea.
- Open your phone's "Settings"
- Find "Data Usage"
- Here, you can see your current cycle's data usage
- Scroll down to see a list of your apps and how much data they have used during the current cycle
It is important to note that these stats may not always match your Twigby Mobile account exactly due to system delay, but they will still give you a general idea of which apps are using the most data.
