General Tips on How to Remove Locks From Your Twigby Phone

Before sending a phone back to Twigby for any reason, it is important to remove any passcodes, pinlocks,  and/or accounts.  If the phone contains any of your information it can not be processed by the Twigby Returns Department.  Please follow the instructions provided below based on your phone type. Note: these instructions are general, and steps may vary based on specific phone models.  

 

Feature (basic) Phones:

To to the setting and remove all passcodes and PIN lock codes.

4G Flip Phone:

  1. Go to the Menu, and select Settings.  
  2. Find the Security Section, and go to the section that says Screen Lock.
  3. Find the option that says turn off screen lock.  You may have to enter your Pin before or after choosing this.  
  4. Once you enter your current lock code, choose the option that says turn off or remove.  This should take out your lock code.  
  5. To test and make sure your code is removed shut your phone, and reopen it.  If it no longer asks for your code when opened, then your code has been removed.  

iPhones:

  1. To remove your Apple ID go to Settings. Your Apple ID will be located at the top of this menu. 
  2. Click on your Apple ID, and scroll down until you see Find My iPhone, and choose this option from the menu.  
  3. Click on Find My iPhone again, and click the slider to turn this feature off.  
  4. You will now need to enter the password to your Apple ID, and then click Turn Off.
  5. Find My iPhone should now say Off.  
  6. Next remove any and all passcodes, PINs and fingerprint or pattern locks.
  7. Remove all phone protection accounts and disable all protection services.
  8. Go to Settings > General > Reset and then select Erase All Content and Settings.

Android Phones: 

  1. To remove your Google account to to Setting, and find the section that says Accounts.  
  2. Click on your Account, and then then click on the three vertical dots at the top of the page.  
  3. Click the option that says Remove Account, and then click Remove.  
  4. Your Google Account should now be removed from the device.  
  5. Next, remove any manufacturer accounts (i.e. Samsung account)
  6. Remove all passcodes, PINs and fingerprint or pattern locks.
  7. Remove all phone protection accounts and disable all protection services.
  8. Go to Settings > Backup & Reset > tap Factory Data Reset (or Reset Phone) > select Erase everything.
