How do I block numbers from calling and texting me on my iPhone?

All iPhones have a native number blocking feature. This means that you can block numbers from calling and texting you through the Phone app and Messages app on your iPhone. Please note that calls from blocked numbers will go straight to voicemail and text messages from blocked numbers will go undelivered.

Follow these steps to block a number from contacting you:

  1. Open the "Phone" app
  2. Locate the contact you want to block by going through your "Recents" or "Contacts" 
    • If you are in your "Recents", tap on the circle “i” icon next to the phone number you want to block
    • If you are in your "Contacts, tap on their name
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap on "Block this Caller"
  4. Then tap "Block Contact"
