What fees or taxes will I have to pay with Twigby?

Twigby has similar taxes, fees, and surcharges to all other wireless companies. Since you asked though, this is our chance to give you that boring description that you’ll see on most other wireless company sites.

Twigby collects federal, state, and local taxes as well as fees and other assessments that we are required by law to collect and remit to the government on the services we provide to you. We also have some surcharges to help defray costs imposed on us, which may include, but are not limited to: cost recovery for Federal Universal Service, various Regulatory charges, gross receipts charges, certain taxes imposed on Twigby and other charges for the costs we incur in complying with governmental programs as described or itemized on your bill. The number and type of Surcharges may vary depending upon the location of the billing address and can change over time.

Our 911 fees are set by local government. Other surcharges will vary based on your location and may range from 1.3% to 3% of your monthly charges. Where possible, we will provide you notice of any changes to surcharges in a manner consistent with this agreement. However, since some surcharges are based on amounts set by the government or based on government formulas, it will not always be possible to provide advance notice of new surcharges or changes in the amount of existing surcharges.

We know that’s a lot, but we promise these taxes, fees and surcharges will be similar to all other carriers. The average monthly cost on these is about $2-3 per line, and if you have a question, please just ask us and we’ll help you out.
