Great question! It is your phone and we want you to use it!
If you find your phone is locked, unfortunately Twigby isn't able to unlock it for you. However, unlocking the phone can be as simple as a visit to the company's website or a quick phone call to the original wireless carrier it was used with.

If you purchased a new phone from a store such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, etc, and want to use it with Twigby, it must be unlocked and not be associated to any prepaid or postpaid wireless carrier. If it is associated to a carrier, the phone is typically locked until you meet their requirements.
How do I know if my phone is unlocked?
Most phones that you buy that are tied to specific carriers come locked to work only on that network. When the phone is unlocked, it's no longer tied to any carrier.
The easiest way to check if your phone is unlocked is to contact your service provider. They'll be able to tell you whether your phone is unlocked and if it isn't, if it is eligible to be unlocked.
Twigby is not allowed by the other wireless carriers to contact them on your behalf. Only you can request your phone to be unlocked.
