There are a number of reasons why your LG Realm may freeze or become unresponsive, including:

  • Unstable application
  • Low internal memory
  • Multiple applications or widgets running at the same time
  • Your LG Realm software may need updating

Wi-Fi is one of the most underused and useful features on a smartphone, tablet, or a computer.

It's a short-range static wireless connection. Anyone can set up a Wi-Fi network with an Internet connection and a router or a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Some benefits of using Wi-Fi:

  • Preserves battery life: Up to 50% less power when connected to Wi-Fi instead of using a data connection on the Boost Mobile networks.
  • Talk and surf the Web at the same time: With a Wi-Fi connection you can browse the Web and talk on the phone.
  • Improves in-building coverage with faster data speeds.
  • Reduces Pay-As-You-Go charges and data overages for people who don't have an unlimited data plan.
  • Find Wi-Fi hotspots at public places like shopping centers, cafes, hotels or airports.
  • Traveling internationally: Wi-Fi capability is a must-have to get access to email and other applications.
  • Easy connectivity to Wi-Fi networks: Even though Wi-Fi offers static coverage to a specific area, you can connect to Wi-Fi networks without needing to re-enter the settings each time.
  • What is a Wi-Fi hotspot and what can I do with it?

Wi-Fi hotspots are locations where a Wi-Fi-capable device can access the Internet.

  • What do I need to connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot?

You usually need the password from the Wi-Fi hotspot provider.

If the hotspot doesn't require a password when you first set it up, it's not a secure network.

Boost Mobile doesn't recommend connecting to an unsecured Wi-Fi signal.

  • What types of devices can access a Wi-Fi hotspot?

Wi-Fi capable devices include mobile devices such as your LG Realm, tablets, netbooks, laptops and desktop PCs.

  • Where can I find a Wi-Fi hotspot?

You can find Wi-Fi hotspots at public places like shopping centers, cafes, hotels or airports.

Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

  • What is an SSID?

SSID (Service Set Identifier) is the public name of a wireless network.

  • Does it cost more to connect my LG Realm™ to a public Wi-Fi hotspot?

Public Wi-Fi hotspots may be free or they can require a fee or a paid subscription. Before you access a Wi-Fi hotspot, be sure you understand the provider's terms and conditions of use.
